Waste management costs and SUP surcharge

Subject: Government measures from 1 January 2023

Dear relation,
As of 1 January 2023, the responsibility for paying the Waste Management Contribution will shift
Packaging, on the recommendation of the Ministry of I&W. We pay with the waste management fee
indirectly the collection and recycling of packaging.
Due to the change, we as an importer are held responsible for paying the
waste management fee. Due to the major impact of this, we are forced to pass this on to you
calculate.
In order to implement this measure as transparently as possible, we have decided that this per
product will be charged separately on the invoice. The applicable rates for the various
materials can be found at:

Unfortunately, Lightspeed's software does not give us the option to really specify, so only the statement "Sup surcharge and/or waste management fee" will be mentioned. The corresponding amount is added to the amount of the product. We apologize for this, but at the moment Lightspeed does not offer us a solution.

We are currently mapping out the impact per product. Given the complexity of this change
we cannot inform you about this yet. The impact depends, among other things, on the weight of the product
itself (possibly consisting of several materials) and the weight of the packaging material
in which the product is packaged. We do our utmost to contact you as soon as possible
to inform.
If you import products from abroad yourself or buy products from us with your own
printing (private label), you must submit the waste management fee declaration for these products yourself
to nurse.
In addition to the above measure, we also serve a so-called SUP surcharge of € 2.30 / 1000
pieces, for products that fall under the 'Single Use Plastics' legislation. Also this one
we will pass on the surcharge to you at product level. The person responsible for the
waste management contribution is also responsible for the payment of this SUP surcharge. We hope you
soon further information to which products this surcharge applies.
We aim to implement the changes as of February 1, 2023.
